What is Outerlore?
Outerlore is a self-guided audio tour of Outer Banks history, legend and lore.
Needing only your smartphone, once you have chosen your tour and created an account, you’re ready to begin!
Each member of your group will be granted access to an interactive map and audio playlist where you will meet our narrator, Alex. Alex will guide you through your journey and help keep you on track, while also letting you know when to play each story from the playlist.
As you follow our curated walking paths, you will listen to immersive tales of Outer Banks lore. Coupled with cinematic music and soundscapes, you will feel like you are living the legends yourself!
Why a ‘self-guided’ tour?
Unlike a traditional guided tour, you have the flexibility to embark on your journey whenever it suits you and move at your own pace.
Furthermore, you aren’t sharing the experience in a crowd of strangers. It can be your own solo adventure, a romantic walk with a partner, or a group activity with friends and family!
